In January 2005, launched by the members of the EMERSION project, the 1st China-Europe International Symposium on Software Industry Oriented Education was held in HIT, Harbin. 2011 Northampton hosts the conference aiming to involve more academic institutes and industrial organisations to extend the impact of EMERSION and help further develop and perfect software industry oriented education in both China and Europe.
